HOW LONG IS THE PROCESS TO BUILD A COMPUTER WITH YOU?

As a rule, we try to get your build as soon as possible and most builds have been completed and delivered within two weeks.

However, many enthusiasts know that right now there is a lot of new and exciting technology that has just come onto the market. This new tech has been hard to acquire, so some builds can take a lot longer as we wait for parts to become available. We are fully transparent with our customers on what we can and can’t do. You can be certain that we will be honest with you on what realistic timelines are and will communicate with you if we hear of changes.  Trust us, we are just as giddy to get your parts in as you are!

I HAVE SOME COMPONENTS FROM MY CURRENT BUILD THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE IN MY NEW BUILD. CAN I DO THAT?

Yes! We are all for using what you already have. Just note that for parts that are pre-existing, there will be a service fee (quoted after your consultation call) and our warranty will not cover the build. You can anticipate the service fee to be between $20 - $40 per part you want to incorporate.


Please note, we will not build systems with brand new parts that are not purchased through Unhinged Systems.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

All new builds are final sale. However, we do want to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your build. If you are having any performance issues or concerns, please get in touch with us. Your new build comes with a free one-time service call within the first 30 days of receiving your build. After that, we are happy to service your build at our regular hourly rates.

CAN YOU HELP ME UPGRADE MY EXISTING COMPUTER?

Absolutely. One of our favourite things to do is to take a computer that isn’t performing at it’s best and giving it a refresh.

HOW LONG DO REPAIRS NORMALLY TAKE?

Just like our builds, we try to deliver your computer back to you as soon as possible. On the best days, we return your computer the next day. Other days, we are sometimes stuck waiting for special parts to come in. Each computer is slightly different, but we are committed to being open and honest about what the timelines could be at the time of consultation.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR NEW BUILDS?

Yes! A 35% deposit of your total quote is required. Once payment is received, your building process begins. The remainder is required on the day of delivery, prior to the scheduled delivery time.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR REPAIR SERVICES?

No, however, payment is requested prior to the delivery of your computer. An invoice will be emailed to you prior to arranging a delivery time.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Since we are a small business, we currently only accept e-transfer, cheque, or cash. E-transfer is the preferred option and the best way to accelerate your build. Please anticipate a delay with cheque payments as your build’s parts will not be confirmed until the cheque has cleared the bank. As we grow, we look forward to adding credit card payments to the roster.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?

This is extremely important to us. We are doing everything we can to adhere to the Alberta Health Services guidelines for COVID-19 to do our part to prevent the spread. This includes physical distancing when possible, wearing a mask at all times, and sanitizing each computer when it is received and before it is returned to you. We are also flexible with arranging porch pick-ups and drop-offs and will coordinate with you to ensure you are comfortable and safe while working with us! If you have any concerns or procedures you would like us to follow, please let us know at the time of your consultation.
